Autism Research Group Hosts Free Training in November to Help Arizona Parents Maximize Their Child’s Learning Environment
The two-part series, designed for parents, caregivers and professionals who provide in-home applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy, will be held on November 8 and 15, 2012 at the Civic Center Library in Scottsdale.
SCOTTSDALE, AZ – NOVEMBER 8, 2012 Autism Research Group (ARG), a nonprofit organization dedicated to using science to help individuals with autism spectrum disorders, will host a free, two-part seminar called “Maximizing Your Child’s Learning Environment: Establishing and Maintaining ABA Programs” on November 8 from 10 am – 12 pm or 6 pm – 8 pm and November 15, 2012 from 10 am – 12 pm or 6 pm – 8 pm. The training seminars will be held at the Civic Center Library in Scottsdale, Arizona located at 3839 N. Drinkwater Blvd., Scottsdale, AZ 85251. Parents, caregivers and professionals providing in-home applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy are invited to participate.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), 1 in every 88 children in the U.S. is diagnosed with an ASD, making it more prevalent than juvenile diabetes, pediatric cancer, and childhood AIDS combined.
Attendees will learn how to establish and maintain a home-based ABA treatment program that promotes the acquisition of new skills and the reduction of undesirable behaviors.
